About the role: The Regional Inventory Sales Specialist (RISS) plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and organized inventory management within a defined geography. This position offers hands-on experience in the dynamic healthcare environment and serves as an excellent stepping stone into the medical technology sales field. In this role, you'll gain exposure to hospital operations, build relationships with clinical staff, and develop a strong understanding of product portfolios and inventory processes—all essential foundations for a future career in sales. If you're detail-oriented, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in both independent and team settings, this opportunity provides a clear path for professional growth within one of the most innovative sectors in healthcare. This is a six-month, defined term position designed for new-to-career professionals or upcoming graduates.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and mobile data entry tools.
  • Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working in hospital environments and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Local travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or Sciences (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Conducting field inventory counts at designated hospitals following established policies and procedures.
  • Recording and updating inventory data using mobile devices and online systems.
  • Organizing products, monitoring expiration dates, and maintaining correct par levels by SKU within each hospital.
  • Preparing and submitting accurate daily, weekly, and quarterly inventory reports and reconciliations.
  • Supporting Territory Managers (TM) with product complaints.
  • Securing, packaging, and shipping returned goods from hospitals to Boston Scientific.
  • Communicating all transactions clearly with the Area Territory Manager (ATM), Territory Manager (TM), and Regional Director (RD).
  • Completing a minimum of three hospital visits per day, four days per week (within driving distance), and dedicating one day per week to home-office reconciliation tasks.
