About The Position

The Regional HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to the Refinish Americas business and Advanced Surface Technologies (AST) globally, partnering directly with the Americas VP and the CEO of PPG AST. As a key member of the Refinish Regional Leadership Team, this role shapes and executes the people strategy to drive performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. The HRBP operates at both strategic and operational levels—translating business priorities into actionable talent and organizational solutions while ensuring disciplined execution across the region in partnership with HR Service Delivery. Build Commercial Excellence capabilities, drive operational transformation, and review sales incentive plans while serving as a strategic HR partner who influences stakeholders, uses data-driven decision making, and benchmarks performance against industry best practices to deliver measurable business results. Identify organizational restructuring opportunities aligned with business strategy, develop comprehensive headcount forecasts through leadership consultation, and maintain accurate HR data tracking with detailed commentary under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in matrixed industrial manufacturing organizations, spanning engineering and blue-collar environments across international business contexts
  • 10+ years of international HR leadership experience across all HR functions (business partnering, talent management, recruitment, labor relations, org design) with proven success in executing strategic HR initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to develop outcome-focused strategies, successfully leading through major transformations, growth periods, and crisis management while ensuring business continuity and employee well-being.
  • Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple countries with strong cultural adaptability and deep understanding of regional labor laws, cultural differences, and varying HR practices.
