About The Position

In this role, you will lead and influence health and safety performance across multiple manufacturing facilities in the North America region. You will partner with plant leaders and EHS professionals to drive a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The position involves coaching, mentoring, and developing site-level EH&S leaders, implementing best practices, and overseeing programs that protect employees and the environment. You will provide strategic guidance, monitor key safety metrics, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. With a combination of hands-on problem-solving and leadership, this role has a direct impact on workforce well-being and operational excellence. Travel up to 50% is expected, offering exposure to diverse sites and teams across the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in EH&S, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 5–10 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Professional certifications preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence at all levels
  • Proven knowledge of EHS regulations and successful implementation experience
  • Ability to mentor and develop EH&S leaders and foster a positive, inclusive culture
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions collaboratively
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence plant leadership to continuously improve health and safety performance
  • Implement and enforce regulatory and company H&S policies, procedures, and standards
  • Drive EHS culture change through coaching, mentoring, and visible leadership
  • Support site EH&S teams in developing and executing improvement plans
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned technical areas, providing guidance, analysis, and recommendations
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and safety communications
  • Oversee workers’ compensation programs, EHS capital projects, and training initiatives
  • Develop tools, programs, and processes to standardize and improve H&S performance across sites
