About The Position

The Regional Fleet Manager, in conjunction with the rest of the management team, assists with the smooth and efficient operation of the Nuclear SPECT and CardioNavix divisions. The Regional Fleet Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe loading, handling, transportation, delivery and functionality upon delivery, of all mobile imaging equipment, infusion systems, supplies and workstations. The Regional Fleet Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring installation of any/all equipment in the designated client office location and ensuring the equipment is set up in a “ready to scan mode” where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain a current/valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a safe driving record as evidenced by having had no serious driving accidents within the last two years.
  • Must possess proficient communication, human relation and training skills to work effectively and compatibly with clients, supervisors, and coworkers.
  • Must have the ability to handle moderate physical exertion.
  • Must possess the ability to deal with unusual circumstance and/or emergencies and be adaptable to deal with change.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of class II driving experience.
  • Trained in HAZMAT compliance with regard to radioactive material loading.
  • Familiar with equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience with medical equipment loading and transport.
  • Familiar with the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects involving the transport of any equipment assigned, in a safe, efficient, and working manner.
  • Working under the guidance of the National Manager, determine the type of equipment and supplies required for each delivery and ensure all transport vehicles are equipped properly.
  • Work with all transport related vendors to ensure that needs are met.
  • Maintain a proper level of emergency replacement parts for all transportation mechanisms including vehicles, transport carts and infusion systems.
  • Working with the National Manager to determine the appropriate staffing needs for each location.
  • Assist with new employee interviews, onboarding, and training of all new driving staff.
  • Oversee all driving staff in dedicated region
  • Review and approve drivers’ timecards, expenses, and PTO requests.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by ensuring all new hires and current employees are properly trained to perform the pack up, loading/securing, and equipment check prior to transportation.
  • Verify all drivers maintain compliance with and federal, state, or local regulations regarding the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Establish and maintain a training program for the safe operation of vehicle.
  • Establish and maintain employee competencies for all driving staff.
  • Must be able to identify and troubleshoot areas which could become problematic.
  • Establish and maintain an inventory list of all vehicles, transport carts and any other associated equipment including, but not limited to GPS systems and transport cart trackers.
  • Establish and maintain a maintenance and safety program for all transport vehicles.
  • Ensure all ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to, scanning equipment, treadmills, and workstations are kept in working condition and are not damaged upon pick pickup and delivery.
  • Ensure all customer locations are kept in pristine condition and are not damaged during any pickup or delivery.
  • Ensure all Hubs are kept clean, organized, and proper inventory levels are kept.
  • Ensure there is a communication process to identify safety problems with any equipment.
  • Work with the National Manager to create the schedule for all driving staff.
  • Responsible for the oversight and tracking of all scheduled deliveries, ensuring deliveries are made appropriately, and on time.
  • Must maintain efficient and effective communication with all drivers and relay every day-to-day change as they arise.
  • Interact with clients, staff, patients, and Supervisory staff in a professional, cooperative and timely manner always and display appropriate customer relations’ skills and a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Responsible for all after hours emergencies with driving staff and escalating to the National Manager, Operations Manager, or Clinical Manager as appropriate.
  • Responsible for appropriately instructing new employees and coworkers and diligently applying the CDL Company Objectives of “Best Appropriate Patient Care”. Performs other related duties as assigned.
