About The Position

This role is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and a culture of safety excellence. You will oversee EHS initiatives for manufacturing, installation crews, and corporate support teams, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to employees while monitoring and improving workplace safety. The position involves maintaining environmental permits, implementing safety programs, and driving incident prevention strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and influence continuous improvement in safety practices. The environment is dynamic and collaborative, requiring strong leadership and hands-on engagement to ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and the workplace. Travel up to 20% is expected to support regional operations and site inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelorâ s degree (or equivalent) in Safety, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 6+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Broad knowledge of regional and local EHS compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence change and mentor employees
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to support regional sites and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, safety program development, and incident prevention

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health, safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene programs across regional sites
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and internal standards
  • Maintain environmental permits and reporting requirements, including air, stormwater, and wastewater compliance
  • Identify hazards and lead preventive actions, coaching employees toward safer behaviors
  • Manage hazardous waste streams and oversee Workersâ Compensation programs
  • Conduct incident investigations, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Lead Safety Committees and employee engagement initiatives to achieve organizational safety goals
  • Maintain OSHA logs, training records, and ensure readiness for agency inspections and audits
