About The Position

The Regional Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is an upper-level role responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across multiple facilities within an assigned area of responsibility. This role partners closely with regional and site leadership to build a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce risk while supporting operational goals. The Regional EHS Manager serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, capable of not just doing safety, but influencing others to assume ownership and accountability for safety. The role requires strong leadership skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to lead through others to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations and management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive change without direct authority.
  • Proven experience building and sustaining a strong safety culture across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive solutions.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Computer skills with proficiency navigating Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Copilot).
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of dedicated EHS experience, including multi-site or regional responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading EHS programs and influencing operational leadership.
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • EHS experience working in both General Industry and Construction is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is desired.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regional leadership for EHS programs across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, standards, and objectives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to regional and site leadership teams on EHS risks, performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive a consistent, sustainable safety culture focused on employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess EHS programs to identify gaps, trends, and risks; partner with leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and refinement of regional EHS initiatives, best practices, and standardized processes.
  • Validate and continuously improve compliance with Injury and Illness Prevention Programs and other corporate EHS requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and ANSI.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and provide timely guidance to leadership and operations to maintain compliance.
  • Oversee incident, injury, near-miss, and environmental event investigations; ensure root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are effective and sustainable.
  • Lead and oversee regional safety audits, inspections, and field observations to verify compliance and effectiveness of controls.
  • Review audit findings, track corrective actions, and hold leadership accountable for timely closure.
  • Analyze regional EHS performance data to identify trends and develop actionable insights using company metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure company EHS training programs are implemented across the region.
  • Support and guide site-level safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote safe work practices through coaching, mentoring, and leadership presence.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for contractor safety performance within the region.
  • Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management, chemical management and SDS maintenance.
  • Support permitting, inspections, and interactions with health, safety and environmental regulatory entities.
