About The Position

Southern Outdoor Restoration is seeking a results-driven Regional Director to provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of its Raleigh region Sales/Revenue and Operations. The Regional Director for Southern Outdoor Restoration is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance, revenue growth, expanding market presence and operational excellence of the Raleigh region. This position provides high-level leadership and mentorship across both Sales and Operations, with direct oversight of Sales Manager and Production Manager and indirect responsibility for Account Management (“AMs”) functions, Account Coordinators (“ACs”), Operations Managers (“OMs”), Training and Project Managers (“PMs”), Lead Technicians (“LTs), and Operations Coordinators (“OCs”). The Regional Director sets strategic direction for revenue growth, market penetration, and team development while ensuring alignment with company culture, goals, and financial targets. As a key member of senior management, this leader partners closely with the Executive Team on budgeting, forecasting, capacity planning, and long-term regional growth initiatives. This person will also coordinate with their peer, the Regional Director – Charlotte. Close collaboration will take place with the Logistics Manager for items related to fleet, facility, and equipment. This role drives end-to-end execution by aligning sales strategy, marketing investment, and operational delivery to produce exceptional customer outcomes and strong financial performance. The Regional Director is accountable for hiring, training, and developing high-performing teams; ensuring consistent process adherence; maintaining CRM and reporting integrity; and resolving complex sales and project issues. On the operations side, the role oversees (with close collaboration with PM) staffing, training, facilities, fleet, quality control, subcontractor management, and job execution, while maximizing crew utilization and maintaining safety and compliance standards. Through close collaboration between Sales and Operations, the Regional Director ensures a seamless internal customer experience, disciplined execution, and scalable systems that support Southern Outdoor Restoration’s continued rapid growth.

  • Most work will align with day shift (Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM - 4 PM)
  • After-hours work at times, required to engage with night shift, sales events, etc.
  • After-hours or weekend work required at times due to urgency of business needs

Responsibilities

  • Raleigh Sales Team Leadership, Revenue Growth & Market Development: The Regional Director is the senior leader for the Raleigh Region, accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring disciplined sales execution that translates into profitable work.
  • Run routine and efficient Sales Team meetings & process refinement/rollout meetings
  • Convey culture within our team, and invest in other teams throughout the company
  • Weekly/monthly reporting. Provide consistent direction via updates on where the team stands in relation to goals
  • Support with high level issue resolution on projects
  • Hire, train, and develop sales direct reports; onboard and offboard new team members
  • Set, communicate, and consistently execute the regional sales strategy across all service lines and target verticals
  • Lead, Coach, and develop the Sales Manager position – and strengthen the Account Management team (focus on prospecting discipline, quote conversion, customer experience, and retention)
  • Ensure CRM integrity, sales process adherence, and regular performance development (PD) debriefs with Account Managers
  • Active participation in industry trade associations including but not limited to: CAI-NC, BOMA Raleigh/Durham, Triangle Apartment Assoc., IFMA Greater Triangle
  • Utilize Account Coordinator support function to drive sales and service goals/responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Executive Team on budgeting and forecasting
  • Strategically spend Marketing and Business Development budgets
  • Partner with Marketing to strategically allocate business development and marketing budgets to maximize ROI and pipeline growth
  • Collaborate with Raleigh Ops Team to maximize net utilization of Raleigh crew every day, week, month, and year (target of 92%)
  • Manage the Collections work associated with overdue invoices on jobs sold and serviced by the Raleigh Sales Team
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex customer issues, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Raleigh Operations Team Leadership and Management: While sales growth is a core priority, the Regional Director maintains full accountability for operational outcomes, ensuring that sold work is executed safely, efficiently, and at high quality through close partnership with the Production Manager.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Raleigh operations, ensuring alignment between sales demand, staffing levels, and production capacity
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to ensure crews are fully staffed, trained, and equipped to meet quality, safety, and utilization targets
  • Ensure operational readiness for all projects, including scope validation, job preparation, scheduling coordination, and equipment availability
  • Oversee on-boarding and off-boarding for Raleigh Ops Team members
  • Ultimate responsibility that the PM has tools needed for Direct training and professional development of all Operations Team Members
  • Responsible for consistent adherence of administrative responsibilities for all members of the Operations Team (i.e. ServiceTrade protocols for LTs, daily time sheet approvals for OMs, Seismic learning lessons with TPMs, etc)
  • Responsible for Fleet and equipment maintenance: to be completed by combination of Raleigh Ops Team, SOR Logistics Team, third party vendors
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for high impact operational issue resolution on projects (that cannot be handled directly between Production Manager and the AMs and OMs)
  • Collaborate with Exec Team to define Operational Capacity Plans and hit milestones to grow the Region
  • Subcontractor management (daily progress comments, job documentation, COGS inputs, sub agreements, sub payout authorizations)
  • Worked in complete collaboration with shared service teams: Finance/Accounting, HR, Technology, Logistics (Fleet/Facility/Equipment).
  • Regional P&L Ownership The Regional Manager has full profit and loss responsibility for the Raleigh Region and is accountable for delivering profitable, scalable growth.
  • Own regional P&L performance, including revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, COGS, overhead, and overall contribution
  • Develop, manage, and forecast annual budgets in partnership with the Executive Team
  • Balance sales growth objectives with operational efficiency to maximize crew utilization, margin performance, and cash flow
  • Drive disciplined financial management, including billing accuracy, collections, and expense control
  • Use KPIs, dashboards, and financial reporting to inform decision-making and continuously improve regional performance
