About The Position

As the Regional Director, Rare Disease, you will be at the forefront of Natera’s national expansion. You will lead a high-performing team of specialists dedicated to the Zenith™ portfolio, driving adoption in complex clinical environments. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a "best-in-class" culture, establishing deep institutional partnerships, and ensuring every patient has access to the most advanced genomic insights available.

Requirements

  • Experienced Leader: You have a minimum of 5 years in biotech, pharma, or diagnostic sales, with at least 3 years of proven success in a sales leadership role.
  • Rare Disease Expert: You possess a deep understanding of the rare disease landscape, specifically within medical genetics or pediatric specialty markets. Experience with Children’s Hospitals is a major plus.
  • Strategic Thinker: You don't just follow a plan; you build one. You excel at navigating the "gray areas" of a dynamic, evolving market.
  • Mission-Driven: You are passionate about genomics and the impact that early, accurate diagnosis has on families and providers.
  • Communicator: You have a "seat at the table" presence with the ability to influence both internal executives and external clinical leaders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or MS in Life Sciences) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build & Lead: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a regional sales team. You aren't just a manager; you are a coach dedicated to the professional growth of your team and the collective achievement of exceeding commercial targets.
  • Drive Strategy: Develop and execute a regional business plan that aligns with Natera’s aggressive growth objectives. This includes territory optimization, resource management, and identifying high-growth market opportunities.
  • KOL & Institutional Engagement: Build enduring relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in developmental pediatrics, neurology, and medical genetics. You will lead the strategy for institutional adoption within major Children’s Hospitals and rare disease centers.
  • Launch & Scale: Lead the field execution for the Zenith™ portfolio, navigating complex sales cycles, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations to ensure Natera is the provider of choice for exome and genome testing.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Managed Care to refine our value proposition and remove barriers to patient access.
  • Operational Excellence: Utilize data-driven insights and CRM (Salesforce) metrics to forecast accurately and continuously improve regional performance.
