Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa, required
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, with 3–5 years in clinical leadership—multisite/regional experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of federal and Iowa regulatory compliance in assisted living and memory care
  • Strong knowledge of MDS/RAI, risk management, and loss prevention strategies
  • Tech-savvy with solid experience in Microsoft Office Suite and PointClickCare (preferred)
  • Proven success in mentoring leaders, building culture, and producing quality outcomes
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to assigned MCs

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical consultant and thought partner to community nursing leadership in the Iowa markets
  • Guide Managed Community (MC) teams in the creation and implementation of action plans addressing risk, compliance, and patient safety
  • Coach and mentor new Directors of Nursing and Directors of Wellness, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and accountability
  • Support regulatory compliance through policy implementation, internal audits, documentation review, and survey preparation
  • Lead and evaluate post-incident risk management processes and provide direction to reduce future events
  • Oversee Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts, partnering with other HDG clinical pillars
  • Analyze trended quality and operational data and report findings to HDG executive leadership
  • Support HDG’s Rapid Response system and PREP (Positive Review & Evaluation Process) services
  • Build strong relationships with MC operators, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and aligned goals
