The Regional Development Coordinator is the frontline ambassador for New Mexico Youth and Government in Southern New Mexico (with limited responsibilities in Central New Mexico). New Mexico Youth and Government (NMYAG) is a civic education and engagement program for youth in grades 6–12 that develops personal growth and encourages life-long, responsible citizenship. Through hands-on participation in a model government, students learn the democratic process, practice critical thinking, engage in debate, and gain skills in leadership and collaboration. The YMCA of Central New Mexico has been awarded a grant to expand Youth and Government in New Mexico. We are seeking a Regional Development Coordinator to lead outreach and recruitment in Southern New Mexico, support regional schools in launching delegations, and run a YMCA-led virtual delegation for students without a school-based program.
