About The Position

Regional Coordinator (Atlanta) Reports to: Regional Director of Atlanta FLSA Status: Exempt Organizational Overview Jumpstart is a national early education nonprofit working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. We provide evidence-based language, literacy, and life skills programming to preschool children from underserved communities, delivered by a broad network of trained college students and community volunteers. Since our founding in 1993, Jumpstart has supported over 209,000 children and mobilized more than 71,000 volunteers. As Jumpstart enters a bold new chapter of innovation and scale, strong local presence and partnerships will be essential to sustaining programs and creating lasting impact in our communities. Position Overview The Regional Coordinator serves as the operational backbone of Jumpstart’s regional team, ensuring that core logistics, materials, scheduling, and coordination functions run smoothly in support of program delivery and partner experience. Reporting to the Regional Director, the Regional Coordinator will provide essential administrative, logistical, operational, and engagement support, enabling the team to focus on strategy and cross-sector collaboration. This role includes executing high-visibility campaigns like Read for the Record; supporting volunteer and partner recruitment, onboarding, and engagement; coordinating events, activities, and communications; and ensuring regional operations align with Jumpstart’s national priorities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by a fast-paced environment where each day brings something new. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in administrative coordination, event support, or program operations, ideally in nonprofit or education settings.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; willingness to learn Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and project management systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to Jumpstart’s mission and values.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with early education, community engagement, or volunteer-based programs.
  • Experience supporting events or managing logistics for multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Experience as a former Jumpstart corps member or participant in similar service-based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics that support program delivery across partner sites.
  • Manage scheduling, calendars, and regional timelines tied to program milestones.
  • Support training logistics, including space coordination, materials preparation, and documentation collection.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational troubleshooting.
  • Ensure smooth communication flow between regional staff, partners, and volunteers.
  • Track and maintain regional inventory of program materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate storage, packing, and shipping of materials to partner sites.
  • Monitor supply levels and manage reordering processes.
  • Maintain organized inventory systems to support efficient program implementation.
  • In partnership with Finance/Office Management, serve as the regional point of contact for day-to-day office operations, including facilities coordination, supply management, and vendor access as applicable in the local context.
  • Ensure the workspace remains orderly, well organized, and welcoming for staff, partners, funders, donors, volunteers, and guests.
  • Oversee on site organization and upkeep to support effective regional operations and a positive visitor experience.
  • Support volunteer recruitment logistics, including scheduling info sessions and onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate communications and scheduling with preschool and higher education partners.
  • Ensure partners receive materials, updates, and logistical support needed for program execution.
  • Assist in tracking volunteer onboarding documentation and participation data.
  • Coordinate documentation and recordkeeping required to meet institutional, local, and state participation requirements.
  • Support volunteers and partners in meeting professional development requirements tied to training, coursework, fieldwork, internships, and federal work study.
  • Collect, prepare, and submit accurate documentation needed for professional development credit and volunteer and partner incentives.
  • Provide administrative support to the Regional Director, including scheduling, expense tracking, and meeting preparation.
  • Prepare presentations, trackers, and briefing materials.
  • Maintain organized regional files and documentation systems.
  • Track action items and follow ups tied to regional priorities.
