About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Director, Hospitality & Nutrition Services, directs and manages the activities of a staff of assigned personnel engaged in the provision of clinical nutrition services and/or foodservice to patients at two separate facilities. Ensures the nutritional adequacy of patiebt menus and that all activities adhere to policies, practices, and standards set forth by regulatory and licensing agencies and the hospital.

Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in food and nutrition, in conjunction with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education approved programs.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Certification with the State of Indiana.
  • Two to three years of progressively more responsible experience.
  • Independent judgment required.
  • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
  • Handles emergency or crisis situations.
  • Diffuses potential problems.
  • Requires knowledge of computer applications.
  • Handles multiple priorities in a stressful environment.
  • Makes decisions and recommendations to other health professionals.
  • Flexible and adapts to a changing environment.
  • Employees may be shared and travel within the healthcare system. If applicable, must provide proof of current driver's license and current auto insurance.
