Job Summary : The Regional Clinical Educator is responsible for coordinating training for all Kindful Health Hospice employees in all of our locations. The training must be done in accordance with all Medicare/State guidelines. The Regional Clinical Educator must be able and willing to travel to all Kindful Health locations across Texas.

Requirements

  • The Regional Clinical Educator must have and maintain a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
  • Must also have a minimum of two years of Hospice experience.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to supervise in accordance with Agency policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Time management.
  • Cooperative attitude.
  • Advanced written and verbal interpersonal communication.
  • Basic math skills related to patient care.
  • Ability to engage in local and out-of-town travel.
  • Ability to travel overnight to alternate offices throughout as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Learns, understands, and develops hospice training programs for the company.
  • Provides teaching to licensed staff and or company's Directors for all hospice programs.
  • Assists with new location start-up, training new field employees and the clinical Director.
  • Provides teaching to supervisors/staff implementing new programs.
  • Assists with MatrixCare training to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with Corporate QI audits.
  • Collects and compiles information for special projects if necessary.
  • Identifies performance issues, collaborates, discusses with leadership and assists in their resolution.
  • Analyzes and evaluates assigned clinical operations to ensure standards are adhered to.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure with changing priorities and short deadlines, and effectively handle a heavy workload.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Conforms to all applicable Agency policies and procedures.
  • Participates actively in continuing education and in-services.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information and business trade practices.
  • Assumes accountability for reporting incidents and complaints according to Agency policy.
