About The Position

This position will serve as a member of the regional senior leadership team. Provides physician leadership in the alignment and integration of the overall clinical enterprise in health care delivery as a regional health system. Requirements

  • Montana State License to practice medicine required.
  • Current Montana license and certification by the appropriate specialty board required.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.
  • Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

  • Clinical practice experience in Rural Community preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive organizational objectives by operationalizing changes and initiatives effectively and efficiently.
  • Proactively anticipate both the needs of System as well as CAHs and the impact operations has on the organization’s success.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare, and present recommendations, and explain associated benefits and risks for improving operations.
  • Demonstrate and further develop competencies in the areas of leadership, financial management, employee engagement, human resources knowledge, organizational dynamics and governance, organizational communication, strategic planning, change management, risk management, compliance, patient safety, patient experience, and quality improvement.
  • Serve as a role model for others by exhibiting the Logan Health core values: integrity, compassion, service, excellence, and ownership.
  • Lead and influence the team to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Develop and foster relationships with other leaders, departments, and members of the team to support open communication, trust, transparency and collaboration.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources to develop, implement and support programs and processes that add value to System, its leadership, and employees.
  • Leads to improve culture, employee and physician engagement, empowerment, growth, and retention, while remaining committed to Logan Health’s management and prosperity for its customers, employees, and community.
  • This position is a member of the Regional Senior Executive team and provides strategic guidance on issues impacting patient care delivery along with participation in all organization initiatives with regional impact.
  • Provides clinical support needed to support operations of regional hospitals.
  • Sets and implements an inclusive culture of excellence in health care delivery across the service area and participates in strategic initiatives.
  • Develops, implements and assists in the advancement of the Logan Health mission, vision, and values.
  • Establishes a vision of excellence with customer service orientation and demonstrated quality outcomes throughout the regional service area.
  • Serves as a community, state, and regional resource for innovations in healthcare delivery systems.
  • Serves as a resource for other strategic initiatives involving emerging relationships with health care providers.
  • Works in collaboration with the non-physician/business Directors/Managers and Quality and Patient Safety to develop and implement quality, patient safety, service excellence and operational goals.
  • Actively participates in the development of physician contracts and compensation packages.
  • Participates in the recruitment, development, and retention of a talented clinical team committed to accomplishing goals and objectives.
  • Works to build a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between system administration and the medical staff.
  • Serves as a catalyst for improving clinical outcomes and processes.
  • Works closely with hospital leadership, as well as regional leadership, and is responsive to concerns/needs of medical staff members.
  • Serves as a champion for clinical quality.
  • Develops and implements innovative clinical programs and strategies.
  • Provides clinical oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure the delivery of affordable, quality health services.
  • Participates in Regional Medical Executive Committee, as well as Medical Staff meetings.
