Stark Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a Full Time Regional Business Office Coordinator! This role covers Canton, OH, Brunswick, OH, and Mentor, OH and will require frequent travel to these locations Stark Ambulatory Surgery Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Regional Business Office Coordinator to join our esteemed team. As a Regional Business Office Coordinator, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. Regional Business Office Coordinator at Stark Ambulatory Surgery Center The Regional Business Office Coordinator (BOC) assists the Business Office Manager with the daily operations of the business office. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays with an occasional Saturday morning to meet business needs. No holiday or on call.  Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Experience: Three-to-five years of equivalent experience in business and/or healthcare administration, including supervisory experience in a medical office setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical terminology, insurance contracts, patient financial responsibility, third-party payers (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid), and coding.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate percentages, interest, and practical application of accounts receivable and payable functions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, strong organizational skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Knows, adheres to, and enforces all policies of the business office
  • Assist business office manager with supervising of business office employees and processes
  • Responsible for the orientation and training of registration and front office staff.
  • Responsible for taking deposits to the bank as needed; backup to the BOM.
  • Informs business office manager of applicable day-to-day situations
  • Follows all equipment safety guidelines and is personally responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment
  • Assist business manager with overall strategic planning of the business office
  • Assist the Business Office Manager to develop and maintain policies & procedures and systems to minimize DSO and the rate of bad debt and increase the productivity of related operations
  • Perform other activities as requested by the business manager, and assume other appropriate operational responsibilities as necessary.
