About The Position

General Responsibilities: Embrace Peoples Security Bank and Trust brand, mission, core values and service philosophy. Together, with the assigned branches, develop and maintain relationships while promoting and selling the bank’s products and services. Implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the offices as part of the Retail Banking Division's annual operating plan. Ensure the offices compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements. Communicate with appropriate management and staff and provide periodic reports.. Essential Duties: Oversees the management of assigned regional branch office(s), as well as individually assigned branch, to meet the financial services needs of the entire community in the assigned market areas: Effectively leads the regional branch offices and ensures that all services are expertly delivered, customer issues are promptly resolved, and standard operating procedures are followed. Represents the Bank in the community and develops and promotes the Bank’s services; makes monthly sales calls; develops new customer relationships and sells various bank services. Works with management in establishing growth, sales, and profit objectives for their respective regions; provides input to these objectives and to the manner in which performance will be measured and controlled. Ensures that the branch offices are properly staffed and that the staff is trained to meet customer service needs as well as sales objectives. Makes certain that all office operations are performed in accordance with established bank policies and procedures, either directly or through appropriate supervisor, e.g., office balancing, control of vault cash, etc. Explains Bank policies and procedures to employees and customers as needed. Provides guidance, training, and motivation to branch staff. Maintains prescribed security controls. Obtains loans from new and existing branch customers, sends loan applications to Loan Operations Department, and may close loans. Approves rate adjustments and combining CIFs Prepares audit responses, deficiency, and delinquent loan reports. Provides coverage for other Regional Branch Sales and Administration Managers for major issues in their absence. Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the office as established in the Retail Banking Division's annual operating plan; assists in the development of the annual budget for the office and adheres to budget parameters. Directly manages assigned personnel as follows: Assists in the hiring the best talent. Makes provisions for the proper orientation and training of new employees. Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter. Provides strong management and coaching support to direct reports. Monitors assigned goals for region, assigned branches, and individuals. Guides team with career path development. Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned staff. Keeps staff informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the office and/or their jobs; creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged. Administers human resource policies and procedures as established by bank policy. Ancillary Duties: Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances. Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of branch experience normally required.
