THE ROLE The Regional Beverage Director will be responsible for leading and implementing Legends Global beverage program across multiple venues. This role emphasizes education, menu development, profitability management, distributor and supplier relationships, and direct support for location operations. The Director will ensure that each location maintains the highest standards in beverage service while maximizing profitability, enhancing the guest experience, and integrating sponsor obligations. The Director will report to the VP of Beverage.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, with the ability to evaluate products against Legends' standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of alcohol laws and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer service skills, with a proven track record of building and motivating successful teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience managing supplier and sponsor relationships while driving measurable results.
  • Proficiency with accounting policies, POS systems, and beverage cost management.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with culinary, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create and manage new initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible schedule; must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to provide hands-on operational support when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct comprehensive beverage training for Legends' F&B teams, with a focus on product knowledge, sales, service skills, and operational success.
  • Manage online training programs (e.g., Gallo University for Legends) and provide support for certifications and additional learning opportunities.
  • Partner with preferred vendors to schedule on-premise training sessions, enhancing team members’ product knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Legends' regulations regarding alcohol service through regular training on alcohol laws and service standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of corporate beverage programs while tailoring local offerings to maximize guest engagement.
  • Develop beverage recipes with clear, concise instructions for operational execution.
  • Collaborate with preferred vendors and marketing teams to design beverage concepts that align with local opportunities, sponsor commitments, and audience preferences.
  • Set pricing and manage pour costs to meet targeted profitability goals for each venue.
  • Create comprehensive presentations for new beverage programs, including identity, concept, menu, pricing, inventory, sponsor alignment, and operational flow.
  • Provide operational teams with tools and procedures to manage beverage costs and maximize profitability.
  • Establish and track KPIs (e.g., beverage cost %, revenue growth, per-cap guest spend, supplier rebate performance, program adoption) to measure and improve beverage program performance.
  • Implement standard operating procedures that drive cost efficiency, operational consistency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and adjust based on sales trends and market analysis.
  • Manage high-end spirit and wine allocations across venues, ensuring premium selections are optimized for each property.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and sponsors, providing leadership in beverage purchasing, allocations, and activations.
  • Ensure beverage programs are balanced with sponsor partnerships while maintaining relevance to guests and operational flexibility.
  • Conduct market research to secure competitive pricing and innovative product offerings.
  • Maintain detailed records of supplier and sponsor relationships using technology platforms to track national consumption, brand performance, and ROI.
  • Serve as a liaison with the VP of Beverage, supporting property openings, new program launches, and staff training as needed.
  • Actively communicate with location management to ensure smooth operations and elevated guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and operations teams to deliver cohesive food and beverage programs that align with brand and client objectives.
  • Support venues by providing templates for events and activations while ensuring each property maintains a unique identity.
  • Assist clients in sourcing specialty items or gifts, offering personalized service when required.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into beverage programs, including local sourcing, waste reduction, eco-friendly packaging, and mindful use of resources.
  • Develop innovative non-alcoholic and low-ABV offerings that reflect industry trends and broaden guest appeal.
  • Leverage technology and analytics tools to monitor consumption trends, optimize brand mix, and inform strategic decisions.
