Regional Aviation Manager – Northeast Region Join Air Methods as a Regional Aviation Manager and play a key leadership role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations across our Northeast region. This position oversees aviation personnel and activities with a strong focus on safety, training, and operational readiness. As a member of Air Methods’ leadership team, you’ll coordinate with regional maintenance, clinical, and safety leaders to drive excellence in air medical operations. The ideal candidate brings extensive aviation management experience, proven leadership, and a deep commitment to safety and regulatory compliance under Part 135 operations. This is a remote/home-based position with regular regional travel to support operational needs. Responsible for supporting the organization, direction and administration tasks assigned within a regional area in relationship to overseeing aviation activities and personnel. Specific areas of focus are safety and training. Responsible for daily aviation duties. May be required to work with other field management including regional leadership, maintenance, and clinical to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to service requests. Key Highlights: Lead aviation operations, safety, and training initiatives for bases across the Northeast US. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and the Air Methods General Operations Manual. Supervise and mentor aviation staff, oversee pilot training coordination, and promote adherence to Safety Management Systems. Partner with regional leaders on performance, safety investigations, and operational improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of related aviation or air medical experience (or equivalent combination). Minimum 2,500 flight hours and 2 years of Part 135 operational experience. Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Airplane or Rotorcraft) and FAA Second Class Medical. Compensation: Salary range: $98,000–$125,000 (based on experience) Short-term incentive bonus plan Comprehensive benefits package and travel reimbursement.
