We’re hiring a Hospice Regional Admissions Coordinator – a detail-oriented and compassionate professional who supports the admissions process for hospice and palliative care patients. This role blends administrative precision, empathy, and coordination to ensure a smooth and dignified transition into care. Be a difference-maker with a hospice care leader! Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college coursework in business administration preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales
  • Prior hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred
  • Typing speed of 50 WPM and proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer tasks
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
  • May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Manage data entry and maintain accurate admission tracking logs
  • Coordinate hospital discharges and general admission processes
  • Overcome initial objections to hospice and palliative care services
  • Verify insurance and manage authorization processes
  • Schedule staff to meet with patients and families in a timely manner
  • Ensure intake documentation is completed per policy
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff
  • Communicate empathetically with patients, families, and associates
  • Remain calm and level-headed in emergencies and emotionally intense situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
