Yunex Traffic helps make public agencies more intuitive by providing a path to a digital transportation ecosystem, connected, and integrated and deliver solutions in the areas of Central and Adaptive Control, Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS), Connected Vehicle solutions (V2I) and Mobility-as-a-Service. We are currently seeking a Regional Solution Sales Manager to manage strategic accounts and local channel partners in the states of OH, KY, D.C., IA, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, SD, VA, WI, WV and Canada. The Sales Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Product and Solution Sales and work within a collaborative multi-disciplined team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, MBA preferred. Previous experience as a consultant is helpful.
  • 5-10 years of proven subject matter expertise and solution sales or consulting experience in the ITS industries, including knowledge of market conditions and competitive positions.
  • A robust network of customer relationships in major cities, counties, and departments of transportation and experience working with government and other potential market customers.
  • Experience developing and implementing a business development plan that weighs short-term revenue growth and profitability with long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Understanding of ITS Markets, applications, field experience in traffic signal industry, and familiar with mobility applications.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into effective system designs using appropriate ITS technology knowledgeable in industry standards.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, preferably demonstrated through a consistent track record of winning bids and leading customer presentations articulating the value proposition of solutions and services offering.
  • Problem-solving ability, including resolving customer complaints and connecting customers to Yunex to tackle issues.
  • Work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team and the ability to work independently to solve problems.
  • Able to travel 50% plus within the US.

Responsibilities

  • The strategic role will have autonomy in determining and carrying out the strategy, business development, sales growth, and sales management for customers and commercial end user accounts.
  • Consult key accounts holistically on their mobility needs, understand general pain points and sketch overall solution approach including safety, quality of life, and climate action.
  • Orchestrates sales process for complex mobility solutions and build a broader network of relationships in customer organizations and the transportation ecosystem.
  • Engage as a thought leader within their region building awareness, shaping needs, sketching solutions, and providing support and counsel with funding.
  • Develop consultative relationships with channel partners, customers, consultants, government executives, business partners, etc.
  • Actively participate in regional professional societies such as IMSA, ITE, ITS, APTA, etc.
  • Focus on delivery of sales business targets in their region and work cooperatively with existing channel partners.
  • Direct bid responses by reviewing RFP/RFQ requirements, crafting and describing technical solutions, and other written documentation vital to support bid generation efforts.
  • Lead customer meetings and presentations, represent Yunex Traffic at regional and national sales conferences, and is a leader with vision.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers, Marketing, Product Management, and Project Management to position Yunex Traffic solutions in the marketplace.
  • Develop and propose sales budgets, growth forecasts aligned with the sales strategy and deep market insights.
