About The Position

Remote opportunity with preferred base in NY, NJ or MA Drive new Coleman Heating & Air Conditioning Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Sales through the Johnstone Supply distribution channel by managing manufacturer’s rep agencies, expanding share of wallet with current distribution partner and developing new business partners for the Bosch portfolio. Success in the position will also include sales calls on distributor branches and with distributor salespeople to contractors, builders, architects and engineers. A key responsibility will be to develop a sales plan and market development strategy to drive growth of the Coleman HVAC brand under the Bosch Home Comfort Group's portfolio by hitting assigned targets. Provide all necessary sales, training and operational support for all assigned Johnstone Supply accounts within region as well as manufacturer reps in assigned region. Increase knowledge of product offerings to contractors, architects and engineers in your territory. Key activities include market planning, distributor account management plan execution and manufacturer rep management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent extensive industry experience
  • 7+ years of consultative selling of HVAC equipment
  • 5+ years of experience working with distributors
  • This position requires up to 70% travel within your assigned market

  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Reps, wholesalers, contractors, architects and engineers in your assigned territory
  • Complete sales calls in a wholesale distribution environment representing the product line to the wholesaler and assisting wholesaler present our products to the contractor
  • Manage manufacturer reps in the territory
  • Understand and maintain the company’s wholesale pricing fundamentals and marketing programs
  • Train and educate builders, contractors, architects and engineers in your assigned territory on the product line
  • Plan and/or participate in trade shows and/or other marketing and sales initiatives in your region
