About The Position

The Regional Culture & Partnerships Manager will be responsible for elevating Harman’s role within popular culture. They will identify relevant brand-building opportunities within culture, lead the sell-in internally and then oversee planning and execution of all associated programming. The Regional Culture & Partnerships Manager will report into the Director of Brand Activation for Consumer Audio, for their region. This person will manage 2 direct reports, and 5 agencies, totaling roughly 30 people on those collective teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in Brand Management, Marketing Communications, Advertising or Consumer Promotions at an agency, media company or manufacturer of Consumer/Professional Products.
  • Project management and problem-solving skills – Experience driving projects within defined schedules with the ability to resolve issues and gates while maintaining schedules.
  • Strong business background - As well as excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – Motivated and able to work in a very fast work environment. Able to change priorities and handle multiple projects at one time a must.
  • Experience working cross-functionally on strategic projects.
  • Clear understanding of the Harman Consumer Audio brands and equally firm grasp on popular culture.
  • This person will manage 5-6 agencies to ensure that they efficiently accomplish their objectives. It will require that this person set a clear agenda, lead from the front and manage multiple agencies with multiple priorities of their own.
  • Collaboration is key to success in this role – working with global region colleagues, media, social media, customer marketing and numerous agencies
  • Be willing to travel up to 15%, domestic and international travel (Domestic Focused)
  • Be willing to work in a region HQ
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 10 years of music and/or roles in entertainment or cultural marketing areas is preferred
  • Brand management experience a plus
  • Interpersonal relationships within the music, sports and entertainment space

Responsibilities

  • Cultural Strategy Set the strategy and lead execution for cultural and experiential marketing across HARMAN’s consumer audio brands in their region.
  • Oversee all regional partnerships across music, sports, gaming, brand, and culture.
  • Partner with the region marketing team to deliver retailer-focused programs tied to cultural moments and measurable ROI.
  • Assess partnership opportunities across the cultural landscape including meeting with agents, properties, labels etc. Make strategic, financially aware and aligned decisions across key internal stakeholders that help boost brand KPIs and business needs.
  • Lead HARMAN’s Regional music ambassadorship program, including talent identification, deal support, and oversight of performances, content, production, and appearances.
  • Own the development and execution of regional music festival sponsorships and experiential platforms, including SXSW, Tomorrowland and others.
  • Lead planning and execution of key region-specific cultural, music, and experiential events, ensuring seamless integration with regional brand strategy and delivering impactful consumer engagement across priority markets
  • Lead the team responsible for all mobile brand experiences across the region.
  • Oversee the marketing strategy and activations supporting the region flagship store’s cultural and community presence designed to drive foot traffic and in-store engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Global Culture & Partnerships lead to ensure alignment with global strategy and brand consistency.
  • Participate on and contribute to the Global Culture Counsel.
  • Act as lead voice in Global talent discussions to represent the needs of their region.
  • Work to ensure – as relevant – integration of global assets into regional planning.
