Responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, safety, general maintenance, PM’s, mechanical integrity, maintaining all written documents required for daily operation and audits, managing inspections and system work, and the repair or replacement of the ammonia refrigeration system equipment along with on-going training and refresher training. Emergency Response Team training and HAZMAT certification is a requirement for this position (Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator / SCBA/level A suit). Work on loss prevention equipment will be required periodically. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration components. Responsible for maintaining and improving the mechanical integrity of the ammonia refrigeration system. Responsible for monitoring ammonia refrigeration equipment for proper and safe operation. Responsible for repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components in the ammonia refrigeration system. Responsible for recognizing and correcting any irregularities in the ammonia refrigeration system. Responsible for maintaining the ammonia refrigeration documents. Must be willing and able to actively pursue and maintain all training requirements for ammonia refrigeration. Must be willing and able to use basic hand and power tools. Perform duties as required by supervisor.
