About The Position

Maintenance Refrigeration Generalists are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous Refrigeration and production temperatures. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the refrigeration system. The position requires performing work involving Ammonia Refrigeration, boiler, fresh/waste water systems, pneumatics, electricity, and mechanics in general as well as some welding. Set up, inspect, adjust, and break down machinery in the facility and complete daily documentation that is required. Must be able to work in various positions and walk and stand on hard surfaces for a period of up to twelve (12) hours. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors in a mixed environment; from extreme cold/hot; wet/dry with temperatures ranging from 0 to 115 degrees. To be qualified for maintenance, candidates must be willing and able to complete all required skilled trades training necessary within the required time period. Applicants must be able and willing to follow all operational procedures and safety rules.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year Refrigeration/HVAC experience or enrolled in Refrigeration/HVAC school for training in Refrigeration/HVAC Certification.
  • All applicants must provide their Social Security Number on their application.
  • Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties assigned.
  • Must be able to work in various positions and walk and stand on hard surfaces for a period of up to twelve (12) hours.
