Requirements
- Previous experience in Women's Health
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal, managed care and insurance verification processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Will contribute to positive work atmosphere and team morale
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing referrals received from healthcare providers
- Obtain necessary insurance authorization for diagnostic services (radiology, ultrasounds, mammograms, etc.), specialty consultations, and specialty medications
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and appropriate care
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any concerns or questions they may have
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care for patients
