The Referral Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the centralized referral team and in-clinic referral operations. The Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely data entry of referral requests into the appropriate portal(s). Additional responsibilities include auditing the close-the-loop process for managed/non-managed care referrals, auditing and monitoring all daily operational functions to effectively process pre-authorization requests for multiple contracted health plans, and maintaining data sets on referral trends and cost analysis. Lastly, the Manager is an integral part of the care team, working as a liaison between leaders, providers, and Medical Management to ensure timely access to specialty care.
