About The Position

This position is for a Referrals Coordinator whose responsibility is to coordinate all incoming and outgoing referrals for multiple physicians in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. The position reports to the Practice Manager.

Requirements

• Education level equivalent to completion of four years of high school preferred.
• Prior knowledge of interpreting insurance eligibility and coverage.
• Intermediate computer skills with typing speed of 28 words per minute.
• Clerical experience required.
• Prior experience receiving and sending referrals.

Nice To Haves

• A course in Medical Terminology helpful.
• Prior experience working in a hospital/healthcare billing setting preferred.
