About The Position

Our Recycling Zone Workers work a part-time schedule and support the operations
of our hazardous household waste & recycling center by performing a variety of
light-industrial activities while taking care of customers.  Feel good about the

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Customer centricity to internal and external customers
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Multi-tasking skills, prioritization skills, and strong sense of urgency
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and change priorities as needed, allowing for optimum effectiveness
• Highly self-motivated and directed; ability to work independently and work well under pressure, handle multiple disciplines concurrently, attend to details, and meet deadlines under limited direction

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading items from individual vehicles into carts & dumpsters
• Answer questions from customers
• Unload carts and perform basic identification/sorting tasks
• Maintain proper housekeeping
• Open used oil containers and dump into drain tub
• Move full 55-gallon drums of paints/solvents around using hand cart
• Consistently follow work instructions and operating procedures
• Periodically operate forklift
• Occasionally stack tires in the storage cage
