Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime. Production opportunities available on 2 nd and 3 rd shift. Responsibilities Refining and Casting Opportunities The refining and casting operations receive lead bullion from the furnaces and refines it into variety of new lead alloys that are cast into ingots. The ingots are sent back to the on site battery production facilities for use in new battery production. Refining Attendant: Receives lead from furnaces and fills kettles with lead bullion Calculates additive and reagent amounts necessary to add to the lead Learns how to operate lead analysis equipment to determine lead quality Removes dross from kettles as necessary prior to next refining process Utilizes overhead cranes and forklifts frequently Casting: Controls flow of molten lead into molds. Monitors temperature of lead and adjusts as necessary Ensure ingots are marked correctly and clean of any flashings Utilize forklift to move finished ingots into storage area
