About The Position

The Recut Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining metal-cutting saws to cut extrusions to specified dimensions. This role ensures precision, safety, and efficiency in the cutting process, supporting production schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience operating industrial saws or similar machinery preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate METL saws (semi-automatic, or CNC-controlled) to cut metal extrusions to required lengths and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
• Measure and mark materials for cutting using precision measuring tools (Lineal Measuring Table, tape measures).
• Set up saws, adjust blade speeds, and change blades as needed.
• Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality; make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
• Record production data and report any discrepancies or equipment issues.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
