About The Position

The Admissions Office at Texas Baptist College and Southwestern Seminary is a dynamic and service-oriented office looking for an experienced individual with a strong commitment to customer service. This position actively recruits students to Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College. The Recruitment Coordinator builds enrollment by recruiting prospective students within a given recruitment territory or degree program. They will be tasked with completing the responsibilities listed below to increase enrollment at Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • English Required (Bilingual speaking abilities also desired) candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the value propositions of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College, its degree programs, and the specific requirements for completing the application process
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to be a part of a collaborative team; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word; Must have the ability to adapt to new systems such as recruiting CRM databases.
  • Effective navigation and usage of organization systems, policies, and procedures to achieve goals and performance expectations.
  • Successful experience in enrollment management, recruiting, office coordination, program management.
  • Able to listen, discern, and respond to students, families, and church leaders in a way that builds confidence in the Admissions process.
  • Exhibit exemplary social skills and ensure considerate interactions with all members and guests.
  • Enjoys interacting with a diverse group of people from all backgrounds and age groups.
  • Self-motivated; ability to operate with minimal supervision.

  • Evening and weekend work is required during large-scale events and peak Admission seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a representative of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College and its Admissions Office.
  • Assists with on-campus events including, but not limited to: Preview Days, Orientation, SWBTS Graduation, etc.
  • Attains funnel goals semester by semester by developing and executing innovative recruiting strategies for Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College.
  • Responsible for cultivating relationships with prospective students via tele-counseling, emails, text messages, in-person meetings. Majority of focus on ad-hoc recruiting events.
  • Connects prospective students and applicants with Admissions counselors, Faculty, and Staff of the school.
  • Informs students about the current financial aid, housing, and degree opportunities on campus.
  • Contacts and assists prospective students; lead applicants through the initial phases of the enrollment process leading to full-time residential enrollment at the Fort Worth campus.
  • Develops strategic travel plans aimed at accomplishing recruitment objectives including, but not limited to, attending events, meetings with students, and collecting prospective student contact information.
  • Schedules high-quality recruiting events in the DFW; the employee will be responsible for attending or coordinating with an Admissions staff to attend these events.
  • Travels to and recruit at college fairs, high schools, conferences, state conventions, youth gatherings, etc.
  • Networks with global ministry leaders, local churches, and partner organizations to expand awareness for Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.
  • Assists the Director of Admissions in tasks related to accomplishing Admissions operations, communications, administration, and coordinating resources.
