About The Position

The Graduate Research Assistant will support the Longhorns in Residence program within the College of Education with recruitment, marketing and outreach efforts. The individual will report to the Project Manager for Teacher Education Residencies. The Recruitment and Outreach Assistant is responsible for supporting the Project Manager for Teacher Education Residencies in recruitment, outreach, and marketing to grow the teacher residency educator preparation programs.

Requirements

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong skills with programs including: Canva, Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive/G-Suite, and UT Box
Ability to work independently and manage time and deadline expectations
Strong collaboration skills
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

Experience with outreach to a range of stakeholders, including students, alumni, and community organizations
Ability to travel to Austin-area school districts and surrounding communities as needed
Clear criminal background check to be on-site at K-12 public schools
Experience in graphic design and social media

Responsibilities

Support project manager in developing and implementing strategies for recruitment, outreach, and marketing
Conduct market research to identify organizations and schools on and off campus to focus recruitment efforts
Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and units on and off campus to support recruitment efforts
Update and maintain Longhorns in Residence social media accounts
Support project manager in creating and distributing marketing materials, for e.g., flyers across campus and campus area
Update and maintain recruitment leads spreadsheet
Support lead generation via targeted email campaigns
Create and maintain promotional materials such as one-pagers, flyers, and swag
Assist in maintaining website updates such as upcoming events with COE Marketing and Communications Department
Update and maintain Longhorns in Residence wiki
Other duties as assigned
