Driver Recruiting Team Leader JOB OBJECTIVE The Driver Recruiting Team Leader will lead a team of recruiting associates who will be making andor receiving phone calls from driver candidates and processing applications The leader will have accountability for managing applicant call volume resource allocation process development and cost oversight associated with day to day operations of Driver Recruiting They will also proactively lead associates and work with Driver Recruiting Leadership to review processes and technology necessary to meet the departments hiring objectives ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the leadership training mentoring and development of driver recruiter associates through daily coaching and regular business partnershipsDrives results analyzes data and develops process improvements to ensure business results are met while managing costEvaluates previous business results to establish appropriate performance goals Utilizes resources to evaluate teams performance against objectivesCoordinates the development of training tools to eliminate skill deficiencies and enhance work team performanceFosters LEAN environment by evaluating process consistency and executionCustomarily and regularly direct the work of associates by distributing and overseeing work amongst the teamDevelop meaningful Individual Development Plans IDPs with associates to support professional development and advancement within the organizationInterview candidates to make hiring decisions and onboard new Driver Recruiting associatesProvide training to associates on department policies procedures and processes Coach performance problems and make employment decisionsSupport team by promoting a positive work environment and respond to associates questions andor concernsCreate and sustain a high performance environment through actions and executing established leadership processesExercise authority to hire and discharge associates; make suggestions and recommendations as to advancement promotion compensation or any other change of status of other associates within the department to upper leadership Allocate manage and distribute work amongst areas of accountability and team members Execute established leadership processes Provide training to team members on department policies procedures and processes Receive and respond to team members complaints andor concerns Maintain confidentiality of information Deployredeploy resources among areas of accountability Create and sustain a high performance environment through leadership processes and actions Accountable to drive performance and achieve results through others Exercise situational leadership Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demandsMaintain regular and consistent attendance and timelinessAlways exhibit behavior in alignment with our core valuesAbility to work routinely on site at a Cowan facility
