Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and execution-oriented Recruiting Specialist to support hiring across our organization. This individual will play a key role in helping us attract and hire high-quality talent that supports our digital, operational, and data-driven initiatives within the insurance industry. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of recruiting experience who can operate with increasing autonomy, manage requisitions with limited supervision, and confidently partner with hiring managers once ramped. The expectation is for the individual to independently own searches, conduct intake meetings, and execute sourcing strategies in line with aggressive hiring plans this year and beyond.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of recruiting experience (agency or in-house), with exposure to technical recruiting, preferably within insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively source passive candidates
  • Experience interpreting and recruiting against technical job descriptions, preferably with previous exposure to Agile, product-driven, or digital transformation environments
  • Strong resume evaluation and candidate assessment skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Comfortable operating with moderate autonomy and limited supervision
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned technical and business-facing roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, skill sets, and team needs
  • Conduct intake meetings independently once fully ramped
  • Interpret job descriptions and translate requirements into targeted sourcing strategies
  • Proactively source active and passive candidates using platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and other sourcing channels
  • Utilize Boolean search techniques and talent mapping strategies to build strong pipelines
  • Review and assess resumes for relevant technical skills, tools, and project experience
  • Conduct initial candidate screens to evaluate competencies, communication skills, and overall fit
  • Present qualified candidate slates with clear evaluation summaries and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate candidate data and pipeline tracking within the applicant tracking system and internal reports
  • Provide hiring managers with market feedback regarding candidate availability and compensation trends in Austin
