The Gist... The Recruiting Intern will support the Talent Acquisition team in executing full-cycle recruiting activities. This role provides hands-on experience in sourcing, screening coordination, candidate management, and applicant tracking system (ATS) administration. The intern will play a key role in ensuring a seamless candidate experience while maintaining accuracy and efficiency within the recruiting process. Requirements

  • US Citizenship required to support government contracting company
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or related field
  • Ability to commute to Reston, VA a min of 1x per week
  • Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human capital management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Source and identify qualified candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, networking platforms, and internal databases
  • Assist in building and maintaining talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Conduct preliminary candidate reviews to assess basic qualifications against job requirements
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage calendar invites, confirmations, and communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure timely communication and a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within iCIMS Applicant Tracking System
  • Update candidate statuses, notes, and dispositioning in accordance with recruiting workflow standards
  • Support data integrity by ensuring all candidate movements are properly documented
  • Assist in dispositioning candidates at various stages of the recruitment process
  • Ensure compliance with internal recruiting policies and documentation standards
  • Support consistent application of hiring workflows and candidate tracking procedures
  • Assist recruiters with administrative tasks and special recruiting projects
  • Support reporting efforts by gathering and organizing recruiting data
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives
