As a Recruiting Assistant, you’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role supporting high-volume hiring for our frontline and entry-level positions — helping ensure our programs are staffed with thoughtful, mission-aligned professionals who directly impact client care. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR or recruiting career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within Talent Acquisition and People & Culture — based out of our corporate office in Dana Point.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with office technology; ATS/HRIS experience a plus (Paycom preferred)
  • Valid California Driver’s License required
  • Must pass a LiveScan criminal background check and drug screen
  • CPR & First Aid Certification required
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, reliable, and responsive
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
  • Motivated by mission-driven work and people-centered impact

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting for floor-based and high-volume roles that directly support client care
  • Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens using structured, compliant processes
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications
  • Greet candidates onsite and help create a professional, welcoming interview experience
  • Prepare interview materials and candidate summaries for hiring leaders
  • Post and maintain job ads across approved platforms
  • Track candidates and hiring stages in Paycom
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready candidate files
  • Support offer letters, onboarding coordination, and pre-employment steps
  • Assist with background checks, LiveScan processing, and hiring requirements
  • Cross-train to support HR coordination tasks as needed
  • Assist with employee file maintenance, documentation, and system updates
  • Support onboarding follow-ups and internal communications
  • Assist with CPI tracking and compliance-related documentation
  • Provide coverage during peak hiring periods and organizational growth initiatives
