About The Position

We’re looking for a systems-oriented Recruiter to support talent acquisition and hiring practices for our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who will partner closely with Lead Recruiter, hiring managers, and operations team deliver a seamless candidate experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping the growth of our team and supporting our mission to redefine how people and machines determine where they are in the world.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house or agency)
  • Hands-on experience using an ATS (Ashby or similar)
  • Strong communication skills with both candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Full-time, onsite availability in Burlingame, California (this role is not remote or hybrid)
  • For U.S. Roles: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
  • For U.K. Roles: To comply with U.K. regulations, this role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, and successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
  • For Canada Roles: Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

Responsibilities

  • Support lead recruiter with full-cycle recruiting (sourcing → offer) across technical and non-technical roles for Xona’s Montreal-based team
  • Partner closely with lead recruiter, hiring managers and operation team to define role requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles
  • Build and maintain scalable talent acquisition processes aligned with the Burlingame, CA recruiting and operations teams
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and creative sourcing strategies
  • Screen candidates and conduct interviews with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional candidate experience
  • Coordinate interviews, feedback, and offers using Ashby
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the ATS
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates via email, phone, and video
  • Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting campaigns, and hiring events (virtual and in-person)
  • Act as a representative of Xona’s mission, values, and culture throughout the hiring process
