Primary Function: Provides recruiting expertise and carries out responsibilities on a professional level in the functional areas of talent sourcing, selection, and the onboarding of new employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. Relevant recruiting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, particularly experience supporting engineering, technical, or construction roles.
  • Possess skills in the following areas:
  • 1–3 years of recruiting experience preferred, with a strong preference for experience supporting engineering, technical, construction, or infrastructure-related roles.
  • Recent university graduates with demonstrated internship or campus recruiting experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated understanding of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and onboarding processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards), and standard office software.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% during peak graduate recruiting seasons (October & February).
  • This position requires minimal physical effort.
  • Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.
  • Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)
  • Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.
  • May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Updating job descriptions.
  • Coordinating job postings with department vice presidents.
  • Sourcing and qualifying potential candidates.
  • Coordinating with recruitment firms where needed.
  • Scheduling interviews.
  • Conducting reference and pre-employment checks.
  • Maintaining the Company’s applicant tracking system.
  • Participates in college recruiting efforts.
  • Communicates directly with each hiring manager to support their hiring needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact to guide individuals through the new hire process.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment.
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed.
  • Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems.
  • Other duties as required.
