Role Description: In this role, you will serve as a trusted talent acquisition partner, guiding hiring managers and candidates through the full life cycle recruiting process. You will develop and implement innovative and effective recruiting strategies to support Safety National’s current and future talent needs. You will focus on recruiting talent for our core insurance functions, including insurance underwriting, business development, actuarial, and reinsurance. To do so you will deploy diverse and comprehensive sourcing strategies, leverage your candidate evaluation and screening skills and apply strong closing techniques to secure high-quality, specialized insurance talent for Safety National. You will also be Safety National’s primary presence in our university recruiting program, delivering a consistent and long-term relationship with targeted academic institutions. Through your proactive relationship-building and sustained engagement, you will help develop early career talent pipelines aligned with internship program and emerging talent needs. As a Recruiter II, you will serve as the primary recruiting contact for assigned internal leaders. You will provide subject matter expertise and sound consultation while adhering to our well-established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Throughout all aspects of your work, you will fully embrace and represent Safety National’s Core Values.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management and Organizational Studies, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience working in full cycle recruiting
  • Demonstrated strength in advanced sourcing, applicant screening, and closing skills
  • Experience in one or more Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably UKG or UltiPro
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a moderate recruiting volume and additional responsibilities such as university recruiting effectively
  • Strong coaching, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with managers and leaders at all levels of the organization
  • An absolute commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy in all recruiting and HR matters
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5% of the time or approximately ten nights throughout the year
  • Commitment to Safety National Core Values and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO.
