About The Position

Central Florida Dreamplex is seeking a passionate and driven Recreational Therapy Director / Adaptive Sports Coordinator to lead and grow our adaptive sports and recreational programming. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities through inclusive fitness and sports opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Passion for adaptive sports and community engagement

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adaptive sports and recreational therapy programs
• Coordinate a variety of sports including wheelchair basketball, tennis, volleyball, sled hockey, and more
• Develop seasonal schedules and organize monthly sports clinics and events
• Collaborate with coaches, instructors, and volunteers
• Build strong relationships with community partners and sponsors
• Support participant engagement, registration, and program success
• Work closely with marketing to promote programs and events
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, interns, and volunteers
