About The Position
SSM Rehabilitation Hospital A joint venture with Select Medical & SSM Location: Lake Saint Louis Recreational Therapist - Part Time Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) This position will start at 24 hours per week - 3 days, 8 hour shifts - with future full-time potential. Ideally, Monday, Wednesday and Friday Stop by our Walk-In Interview Day! Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
- Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
- National certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required to start
Responsibilities
- Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession.
- Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
- Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital wide leisure, social and divergent programs.
- Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.
