About The Position

Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Recreational Therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation programs for people with disabilities or illnesses to assist with maintaining or improving the patient's physical and emotional well-being. The Recreational Therapist will work collaboratively with a team that includes other clinicians across disciplines, rehab nurses, and physicians to create the best possible outcome for our patients. This position is Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 hours per week, and is located onsite at St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Recreational Therapy program
  • Upon hire: National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months Recreational Therapist experience
