About The Position

The Recreational Therapist will assist the Director of Life Enrichment in the implementation of therapeutic activity programs for Personal Care, Skilled Nursing and residents with memory impairment. The Recreational Therapist will take an active role in meeting the residents’ social, physical, intellectual, sensory and emotional needs utilizing therapeutic interventions and modalities. The Recreational Therapist will also provide supervision to other Life Enrichment Assistants.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation
Must possess Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential or be eligible to sit for exam and plan to sit for exam within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Life Enrichment in the implementation of therapeutic activity programs
Take an active role in meeting the residents’ social, physical, intellectual, sensory and emotional needs utilizing therapeutic interventions and modalities
Provide supervision to other Life Enrichment Assistants
