About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and safety-conscious Recreation Worker to join our team. This role involves renting out kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes to hotel guests while ensuring a fun and safe experience on the water. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for outdoor activities, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.   This is a seasonal position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in recreation or hospitality preferred.
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service during equipment rentals.
• Rent out kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes, ensuring proper documentation and payment.
• Conduct thorough safety briefings before guests use equipment, including:
• Proper use of life jackets and paddles.
• Water safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
• Weather and water condition awareness.
• Inspect and maintain water sports equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Monitor guests on the water when possible and provide assistance as needed.
• Enforce all safety rules and hotel policies related to water activities.
• Report any incidents or equipment issues promptly to management.
