About The Position

Rock Creek Cattle Company is looking for an enthusiastic Lake Lodge Attendant to help create unforgettable experiences for our members and guests. As the heart of our scenic Lake Lodge, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors, ensures smooth daily operations, and provides exceptional service in one of the most breathtaking settings on the ranch. Job Summary: Responsible for the lake lodge upkeep, cleaning the building and maintaining surrounding areas. The attendant is responsible for grilling/cooking member and guest meals and leading/participating in physical activities such as hiking and water sports. These duties are all subject to revisions based on operational demands. Seasonal Position: May 15, 2026 - October 15, 2026 Limited availability housing. Candidates may inquire with the hiring manager. Housing is not guaranteed. Rent is $395/month with a refundable deposit of $150 if approved. At this time, we are not allowing new pets.

  • Work long and perhaps erratic hours which include overtime, split-shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to walk and incline walk for long periods of time.
  • Continuous use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the property.
  • Must be able to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and able to constantly lift, carry, pull, or push up to 75 pounds or more. Team-lift must be used on any object over 75 pounds.
  • May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with outdoor environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Background of working with people in a service-type industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally, efficiently and personably with guests and members, establishing relationships that will assist in all visits being unique and tailored to the individual. This includes becoming familiar with preferences such as activities, times, equipment, and other information. Every member and guest should feel special and welcome every visit.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by handling all their inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions; or directing them to a supervisor that can assist.
  • Maintain consistency of service by being aware of and prepared for all members, guests, events, and reservations. Maintain customer satisfaction by handling all inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions; or directing to a staff member that can assist.
  • Communicate professionally, efficiently and personably with all staff, to help ensure a team atmosphere and cooperative environment.
  • Performance of guided activities, included but not limited to: fly fishing (wading and floating trips), hiking and lake activities. Responsible for maintenance of materials and areas. This may include building and maintaining trails, picking up trash on property, repairing equipment and other upkeep.
  • Maintaining and repairing all equipment that will be used for outdoor activities. This includes checking and ensuring all gear is ready for use.
  • Making sure all beds are made, sheets/covers have been washed, rooms dusted, swept, and floors are oiled, cleaning bathrooms such as sanitizing showers, toilets, sinks, and floors. The beds must be cleaned/made every time after a guest stays. The Lodge is cleaned as needed but it is recommended to clean rooms/bathrooms at least once a week. Floors should be swept daily. Every morning the deck area should be swept, and the tables/bar sanitized.
  • Prepare and cook meals for members and guests which includes but it not limited to breakfast, burgers, brats and steaks. Set tables, serve meals and clean up. Inventory Management which includes monitoring food and supply levels, ordering new inventory and transport of the inventory.
  • Monitor and log food consumption and equipment usage by members and guests then submit to accounting for billing.
  • Maintain pontoon boat, Kayak and paddleboard rental logs to ensure proper billing. Oversee getting equipment out for members and helping them get into the water. Always try to assist members when they come in from use.
  • Maintain outdoor area surrounding the Lake Lodge which includes but is not limited to operating a weed eater or chainsaw to keep the surrounding vegetation aesthetically pleasing and weed spraying to keep the trails clear. Occasionally, tree clearing could be needed.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining trails, picking up trash, repairing equipment, and other chores designated by management.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the generator which needs its oil changed every 150 hours of use. This task includes but is not limited to draining oil, changing the oil filter and refilling the generator with new oil to the fill line.
  • Initiate projects during slow times which includes but is not limited to maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the Lodge and surrounding areas, researching new products and ideas, organizing equipment and projects that are relevant to the success of the Lodge.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and policies put forth by RCCC and management. This includes but is not limited to proper use of life jackets, ensuring all guidelines and forms are signed by members/guests and using sound judgement to ensure safety is main priority of all involved in the activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring all paperwork, scheduling, and any accident reports are filled out accurately and are up to date.
  • Promptly report member concerns, injuries, accidents, and other high-risk issues to management.

  • Follow all Employee Handbook, Job Description, and Rock Creek Cattle Company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety and attendance.
  • Be aware of and prepared for all property events, large parties, and reservations that may affect operations and outdoor activity operations.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
  • If allowed by law, responsible for alerting and receiving permission from management before taking required or allowed breaks.
  • Accountable for reporting accurate payroll records through clock-in/clock-out procedures.
  • Monitors personal payroll hours and notifies management when hours approach thresholds that necessitate overtime compensation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
