If you are looking for work you will LOVE, read on! THE ROLE As a Full-Time Recreation Therapist in La Crosse, you will support individuals with disabilities in our adult day services program. No two days will ever look the same in this position, if you are looking for a fun position where you can make a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION $18.16-19.44/hr Full-Time - 40/hours a week Flexible Scheduling Monday through Friday daytime hours with shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m, with 1 or 2 Saturdays per year. As a Recreation Therapist in our La Crosse Adult Day Services program, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance and enrich the quality of services provided to participants. In both on-site and community-based settings, you will evaluate and adapt programming to ensure meaningful engagement and optimal outcomes. You will design and implement therapeutic recreation activities that support individualized goals related to social skills, activities of daily living, dexterity, and mobility. In this role, you will empower adults with disabilities to build new skills, increase independence, and participate in health-promoting leisure experiences. Additionally, you will maintain a small caseload of participants, track progress, communicate successes with the team, and proactively identify and remove barriers to participation and growth. As a valued member or our leadership team for Day Services, you are a role model and mentor for our Day Service Associates and assist them in maintaining high-performance standards and quality service. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation
  • Certification through the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation Certification within six months of hire
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Access to reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage
