JOB SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, completes all activity therapy programming, from assessment, treatment planning, implementation, evaluation, to discharge planning, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy
- Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist with NCTRC (within 6 months of hire)
Nice To Haves
- Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in Music Therapy field working with a mental health population.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient to interpret reason for admission, strengths and weaknesses in the areas of cognitive abilities, socialization skills, leisure skills, motor development and physical/mental condition within 72 hours of admission.
- Develops, implements and delivers a well versed therapeutic program for each population served.
- Document patient progress in a therapeutic group setting on a daily basis.
