About The Position

At Mission Point Resort—Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort—our Recreation Team helps create the activities and moments that guests remember most. We are seeking an energetic, organized, and guest-focused Recreation Supervisor to lead daily recreation operations and ensure a fun, safe, and engaging environment for guests of all ages. The Recreation Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to the recreation team, ensuring smooth daily operations at the resort’s activity areas, including pool and waterfront spaces, lawn games, kids’ activities, and seasonal programs. This role includes supervising staff, assisting with scheduling, overseeing equipment maintenance, supporting guest service initiatives, and ensuring all recreation activities follow safety standards. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with guests, and motivating a diverse team to deliver exceptional experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years in recreation, guest services, hospitality, or activity programming; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional recreation, hospitality, or leadership training a plus
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to coach, support, and motivate a team toward high service standards
  • Guest Service: Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic with strong communication skills
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of safe equipment use, pool or waterfront safety, and risk prevention
  • Professional Traits: Organized, dependable, proactive, and able to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
