Responsibilities: Assists the Recreation Manager in the creation of work schedules for each recreation area. Supervises daily operations and ensures cleanliness of the pool, deck, and bathhouse. Assists the Recreation Manager with special projects and events. Assists in the creation and coordination of schedules for recreation staff. Supervises recreation staff and oversees daily work responsibilities. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff in accordance with established rules and regulations. Implements and maintains accurate tracking of pool attendance records. Enforces pool policies, procedures, and safety rules. Communicates proper maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, deck area, filtration system, and bathhouse. Provides assistance to swimmers and bathers as needed, including basic first aid. (Non-lifeguard duties) Assists in training employees on all duties and expectations of recreation staff positions. Assists in the planning and execution of all summer recreation events and races. Qualifications/Requirements/Experience/Education: CPR/AED certified (can obtain upon hire). Must be at least 18 years old. Currently pursuing a degree in a related field preferred. Sound physical condition to be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driver’s license. Safety Responsibilities and Requirements: Performs job responsibilities according to the company safety and training programs. Reports safety or hazard concerns to management. Reports any on the job injury to management. Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
