Performs administrative and supervisory work developing, coordinating, implementing, organizing, supervising, and evaluating year-round recreational activities, special events, rentals, and programs for people of all ages. Prepares, develops, coordinates, facilitates, implements, and monitors facility permits and rentals in cooperation with and in the absence of the Facility Manager. Supervises the work of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees and contractual and volunteer staff. Meets with the public, facility renters, clubs, user groups, and other organizations to facilitate the use of indoor and outdoor onsite facilities. Coordinates, monitors, and enforces park, facility, program rules/regulations, and County ordinances; assures safety, adequacy, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Assists with program registration, permits, and reservations using facility permitting software; receives and processes payments and fees. Assists with general cleaning of facility. Prepares and sets up/breaks down facility room rentals, including tables, chairs, room divider curtains, audio/visual, and technology equipment. Communicates information to the public, participants, service agencies, external and internal customers regarding County, Department, and facility to obtain/provide information, formulate new programs, and further public relations for Palm Beach County (PBC). Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed by the Facility Manager through conferences, reports, and evaluations of results obtained.
